MINA Charter School of Lee County is building a special place and learning environment in Sanford for the students of our community.
We see an immediate future where all children can become lifelong learners, innovative thinkers and good citizens, regardless of their socioeconomic status or personal background. In achieving this objective, MINA will become an academic beacon for all residents of Lee County and surrounding counties.
The organizing body of MINA has consisted of experienced local educators and business owners who understand Lee County and work tirelessly to achieve the MINA vision. From our initial days of school in August 2020 to the present, MINA has strived for and has achieved academic excellence. Our scholars consistently exceed our expectations. Our retention rate for returning students of over 95% speaks to the quality of education that our students are receiving.

Our vision is for MINA to be a community-wide asset. We know this requires the involvement of the entire community. Particularly in our formative years, as we literally build the foundation of our school, the active participation of our local corporations, businesses, service organizations, and benefactors will play a major role in helping MINA to build a solid foundation.
