MY COLLEGE DEGREES & CERTIFICATIONS, TEACHING AND/OR PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND

I have an Associates’ degree from Central Carolina Community College and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. I served as an EC Teacher’s Assistant at WB Wicker Elementary School in Sanford.

MY EXPECTATIONS FOR MY CLASSROOM THIS YEAR

My goal is to create a learning and fun experience for my students. I’ll be creating an environment where we work together to help students achieve their goals.

MY TEACHING PHILOSOPHY

I want to help students of all backgrounds. Sometimes, it’s not about equality … it’s about equity. Each student has a different necessity, and that is my job. I want to help each student in any way I can.

MY HOBBIES, INTERESTS & THINGS I DO OUTSIDE OF SCHOOL

I enjoy making clay earrings, painting, reading and going to the beach with my family.

SOMETHING PEOPLE MIGHT BE SURPRISED TO LEARN ABOUT ME

I have traveled to Belize, Honduras, and the Dominican Republic. I also have a minor in French.
